We initially submitted a paper to EDTConf ‘24 with the goal of providing a holistic perspective on building digital twins for product development. While our submission wasn’t accepted, we firmly believe that the insights we’ve shared are valuable and worth putting out there. Although it’s still a work in progress, we’re excited to share our ideas as a whitepaper and hope that it can serve as a starting point for further discussion and exploration.

We’re hopeful that, despite its current form, the content will resonate with engineers and researchers working on digital twinning topics, especially in the context of product development for cyber-physical systems. Our hope is that this work can spark conversation, lead to constructive feedback, and ultimately contribute to advancing the field.
